    Draft Environmental Assessment/Finding of No Significant Impact for the ALCOSAN Upper Saw Mill Run Interceptor Rehabilitation Project, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District has adopted an environmental assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended. The draft EA, dated December 2025, evaluates potential environmental impacts associated with the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) Upper Saw Mill Run Interceptor project for federal funding under the Section 313 program located in the boroughs of Castle Shannon and McKees Rocks in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The Water Resources Development Act of 1992 (Public Law 102-580), Section 313 allows the Corps of Engineers to consider reimbursement for design and/or construction of environmental infrastructure in Pennsylvania.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, in partnership with Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, announces the availability of the Draft Detailed Project Report and Environmental Assessment for proposed CAP 1135 modifications to the Scajaquada Creek Flood Risk Management Project in Cheektowaga, NY. The report evaluates alternatives for aquatic ecosystem restoration, including the recommended plan to construct a two-stage channel and riparian buffer at Cheektowaga Town Park. Consolidation of Studies

The Water Resources Development Act establishes a single-phase cost-shared study process that for each feasibility study undertaken, the district engineer will develop a detailed study schedule and notify the non-federal interests.
