  • Pittsburgh District Regulatory Workshop

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, Regulatory Division is hosting a free regulatory workshop on July 29, 2026, at the Marriott Pittsburgh City Center. The full-day event will cover USACE Regulatory policies, A+ Applications, jurisdictional determinations, mitigation strategies, permit types, and a demonstration of the new Regulatory Request System. Registration is required by July 27, 2026.
  • Tittabawassee River Midland, MI FRM Study Review Plan

    The Detroit District has posted the approved Review Plan for the Tittabawassee River Midland Michigan Flood Risk Management Study (P2: 510604). Under Section 8201 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2022, USACE is studying flood risk management measures for Midland County, Michigan. This Review Plan outlines the quality assurance process for the feasibility study, including District Quality Control (DQC) and Agency Technical Review (ATR). The study is being conducted in partnership with Midland County, City of Midland, and Midland Business Alliance.

  • Grand River Upper Reach Revitalization: Sea Lamprey Control and Habitat Improvement Project Scoping Materials

    Scoping materials for the Grand River Upper Reach Revitalization Project. The project proposes to remove the 6th Street Dam in Grand Rapids and construct a purpose-built barrier to block sea lamprey, addressing public safety, restoring rapids, and enhancing habitat.

  • Public Notice: Corps to conduct second five-year review at SLDA

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo and Pittsburgh districts are conducting a second five-year review of the selected remedy for the Shallow Land Disposal Area (SLDA) Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) site.

Consolidation of Studies

The Water Resources Development Act establishes a single-phase cost-shared study process that for each feasibility study undertaken, the district engineer will develop a detailed study schedule and notify the non-federal interests.
