    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and applicable implementing regulations, is initiating scoping to evaluate the potential impacts of a proposed Foxland Harbor Marina Project, Sumner County, Old Hickory Reservoir, Tennessee.

  • Navigation Notice 24-02: Pickwick Main Lock closing for repairs

    Pickwick Main Lock at Tennessee River mile 206 is closing to navigation March 18 to May 9, 2024 while the USACE Light Capacity Fleet installs components on the upper miter gates in preparation for future maintenance repairs.

  • Section 594 Village of Chauncey Wastewater System Improvements Phase I Project, Athens County, Ohio

    The Village of Chauncey is proposing to design and construct Phase I of a wastewater system improvements project in Athens County, Ohio. The existing collection system currently experiences inflow and infiltration with individual customers experiencing basement flooding. This causes a high cost of repairs and a burden on residents within the project area. The proposed infrastructure would address the unsanitary and unsafe conditions associated with the existing wastewater infrastructure.

Currently residents in the project area do not have access to public water service and rely on individual water supply systems such as wells. The proposed infrastructure would address the unsanitary and unsafe conditions associated with the existing water supply infrastructure and provide residents with clean, potable water.

  • Draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment, Bluestone Dam phase 5 Project, Miller Avenue Hauling Restrictions, Summers County, West Virginia

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District (Corps) has conducted an environmental analysis in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended. The Environmental Assessment (EA), dated May 2023, for the Bluestone Dam Phase 5, Miller Avenue Hauling Restrictions to identify a more efficient alternative for truck hauling for the Bluestone Dam during Phase 5 construction in Summers County, West Virginia. The need for the haul restriction changes would lead to efficiency of the Project construction.

    The Town of Union, West Virginia is proposing to design and construct a waterline extension project for the Village of Pickaway, West Virginia. Residents and businesses within the project area rely on individual water systems consisting of unreliable wells and cisterns. The proposed infrastructure would address the unsanitary and unsafe conditions associated with the existing water supply system and provide potable water and fire services to areas not served by public water services.

    The Shady Springs Public Service District is proposing to design and construct a wastewater treatment plant upgrade project in Glen Morgan, Raleigh County, West Virginia. The existing wastewater treatment plant is nearing its design capacity and contains aging and deteriorating components. The proposed infrastructure would address the unsanitary and unsafe conditions associated with the existing wastewater treatment plant.
