This is a general view of Lock and Dam 2 and buildings on the Cumberland River in Nashville, Tennessee, April 10, 1939. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District built Lock and Dam 2 at this location to establish a navigation channel. The structure was later replaced by today's modern dams. (USACE Photo)
