Huntington District Burnsville Lake Park Ranger Grant Pierce and Maintenance Worker Chris Borda spotted an early morning swimmer June 4, 2020, below Bulltown Campground. Bumsville Dam is located in Braxton County on the Little Kanawha River, 124 miles above its confluence with the Ohio River and approximately 3 miles above the Town of Bumsville, West Virginia. The dam became operational for flood control in December 1978 and was developed to reduce flooding on the Little Kanawha River.
