  • USACE announces the update of the Cecil M. Harden Lake Shoreline Management Plan

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District has updated the Shoreline Management Plan for Cecil M. Harden Lake located in Rockville, Indiana. The Cecil M. Harden Shoreline Management Plan has been updated due to USACE assuming sole responsibility of the program, which was previously managed in coordination with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
  • Chickamauga Lock to temporarily close for underwater repairs

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has announced intermittent temporary closures of Chickamauga Lock between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. from July 15-19, 2024.
  • First controlled demolition date set for dam on Monongahela River near Elizabeth

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District has scheduled July 10 as the first controlled demolition date to remove the fixed-crest dam on the Monongahela River near Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
  • Green River Dam No. 5 removal to resume in July

    As previously announced, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), with support from The Nature Conservancy, will resume work to complete removal of Green River Lock and Dam No. 5 in Kentucky this month. Demolition efforts are scheduled to resume as early as the second week of July depending on appropriate river levels and weather conditions.
  • Lower Mud River Flood Risk Management Project Office Hours Announced

    The Huntington District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will conduct a public outreach opportunity, also known as open office hours, regarding the Lower Mud River, Milton, West Virginia Flood Risk Management Project Engineering Documentation Report and Supplemental Environmental Assessment (EDR/SEA), Wednesday July 10, 2024, 1 – 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Milton City Hall, 1139 Smith St, Milton, WV 25541.
