(May 22, 2024) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is pleased to announce the full restoration and reopening of the Rockland Recreation Area launch ramp at Old Hickory Lake, marking a significant milestone in recovery efforts following the closure caused by an EF3 tornado Dec. 9, 2023.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 7, 2024) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces operational changes to Cook Recreation Area at J. Percy Priest Lake. Park staff will use electric gates, traffic cones and newly constructed roundabout and entrance station to manage traffic flow and parking.

  • NR 23-28: Defeated Creek restroom and picnic area closing for upgrades

    DEFEATED, Tenn. (Aug 14, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces the beach restroom and picnic area within the Defeated Creek Recreation Area is closing Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, for removal and replacement of the existing restroom facility at the beach.

(Aug. 30, 2022) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that Camp Attrahunt Boat Ramp, including its parking lot on the shoreline of Lake Cumberland in Monticello, Kentucky, is closing Thursday, Sept. 8, through Sunday, Sept. 11, during the Lake Cumberland Poker Run.
