U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Public Meeting Munitions Response Proposed Plan Former Lockbourne Air Force Base, Ohio
Public Meeting: 12 December 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
Comment Period: 04 December 2023 through 08 January 2024

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is announcing the availability of the Proposed Plan for a Munitions Response Site (MRS) at the former Lockbourne Air Force Base, Ohio, for public review and comment from 04 December 2023 through 08 January 2024. The Proposed Plan describes results from environmental investigations completed at Project 26 - Air Show Drop Zone related to munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) and munitions constituents (MC). The Proposed Plan for the Project 26 MRS describes the remedial alternative of No Action as the area has been deemed to have acceptable site conditions and risk due to MEC and MC for the Project 26 MRS.

The Proposed Plan and other documents in the Administrative Record that support the basis for the proposed remedy selection at the Project 26 MRS at the former Lockbourne Air Force Base are available at these locations.

The public comment period will allow public review of the available documentation and promote public awareness of the environmental conditions attributed to historical military site use at
the Project 26 MRS. The public may provide comments to USACE using the contact information below during the comment period.

USACE will host a public meeting 12 December 2023 to discuss the proposed plan, receive oral and written comments, and answer questions. Comments received will be addressed in the responsiveness summary of the Decision Document and the final remedy determination for Project 26 MRS will be made after the public comment period.

The public meeting will be held Tuesday 12 December 2023, at 6:00 p.m. (EST) at the Hamilton Township Community Center.
