The applicant proposes to permanently impact 7,750 linear feet of stream (Little Laurel Run and five (5) unnamed tributaries (UNTs) to Little Laurel Run) and 0.861 acre of wetland for the construction of the Little Laurel Run Water Supply Dam and the inundations of the associated reservoir. An additional 203 linear feet of stream (two (2) UNTs to Little Laurel Run and six (6) UNTs to the Tygart Valley River) and 0.07 acre of wetland would be temporarily impacted for the installation of an underground water line which would connect the water supply dam to the water treatment plant. Drawings of the proposed project are attached to this notice. The applicant intends to purchase credits from an approved mitigation bank to satisfy compensatory mitigation requirements for this project.
