Project Description
  • Remove the existing dock near the south property line and the existing boat house near the northern property line;
  • Install a total of 150 linear feet of sheet pile to construct a boat well that is 40 feet long by 30 feet wide, with 20 feet of seawall along the shoreline on either side of the boat well.  The seawall on the north side of the boat well would be placed waterward of the existing seawall, while the seawall south of the boat well would be new seawall, placed waterward of the existing riprap in the area.
  • Discharge 3 cubic yards of riprap waterward of the north seawall, in an area 20 feet long by 2 feet wide and 2 feet deep.
  • Discharge 3 cubic yards of riprap as backfill, placed landward of the south seawall, in an area 20 feet long by 2 feet wide and 2 feet deep.
  • Discharge 0.75 cubic yards of backfill behind the north seawall in an area 20 feet long by 0.5 feet wide and 2 feet deep, between the existing seawall and the new seawall. 
  • Discharge 0.75 cubic yards of backfill over the new riprap behind the south seawall in an area 20 feet long by 0.5 feet wide and 2 feet deep.
  • Mechanically dredge 178 cubic yards from inside the newly placed sheetpile to create the boat well, to a bottom elevation of 597.48 (IGLD 85);
  • Mechanically dredge 49 cubic yards from an area directly waterward of the proposed boat well, 27 feet long by 26 feet wide to a bottom elevation of 597.48 (IGLD 85);
  • Install one permanent dock that is 30 feet long by 6 feet wide to the south of the proposed boat well; -Install one permanent dock that is 38 feet long by 4 feet wide centered within the proposed boat well;
  • Extend the existing northern dock, located north of the proposed boat well, by 20 feet long by approximately 12.5 feet wide, to a total length of 51 feet long;
  • Install one permanent double boat hoist spanning the proposed boat well that is 41 feet long by 36 feet wide, and 14 feet tall. The hoist will not have any cover or roof;
