Over 300 members from different industry sectors attended as they learned about USACE LRD’s regional mission, upcoming opportunities, and network with USACE employees across seven regional districts.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) hosted Industry Day on Wednesday, December 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST at the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over 300 members from different industry sectors attended as they learned about USACE LRD’s regional mission, upcoming opportunities, and network with USACE employees across seven regional districts.
  • On November 14, 2024, cadets from the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering (CME) at the United States Military Academy (USMA)—Owen Hodges, Ashton Perez, and Anthony Tinerella—along with Maj. Joseph Speight, an instructor within CME at USMA and USMA alumni Jay Joyce, Facilitator of the West Point Society of Cincinnati, visited the USACE Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) Headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.

    On November 14, 2024, cadets from the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering (CME) at the United States Military Academy visited the USACE Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) Headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. They attended informational sessions led by LRD leadership and staff, received mentorship from LRD Division Commander Maj. Gen. Mark C. Quander, reviewed LRD missions and projects, and gained critical advice and insights for their own senior capstone projects.

    LANCASTER, Tenn. (Aug. 26, 2024) – An administrative assistant at Center Hill Dam received high praise last Thursday for her exceptional work during a developmental assignment well beyond the dam and powerplant she normally supports on the Caney Fork River.

    Public affairs specialists from across the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division came to the Huntington District to increase their video skills during the division’s second regional visual storytelling workshop. During the workshop, participants gained experience in video camera operation, shot-listing, story planning, video editing, sound design, camera movements and more.

Recent University of Akron graduate, Jesse Pennington, is ready to move forward with a confidence and strength that will help her handle anything the engineering world brings. Jesse took a few moments to speak with us about her journey to the Buffalo District and a little about her sports career.
