    Small Business Industry Day highlights women-owned small business

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 9, 2023) – Nearly 300 business owners and managers received extensive information about small business opportunities within the federal, state and local procurement systems during the Small Business Industry Day March 6, 2023, at the Tennessee State University Avon Williams Campus.

    Lock operators work super safely near mega construction projects

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 8, 2023) – Operators at navigation locks could easily wear capes for the super work they do to ensure the safety of the public, not to mention employees that maintain these projects in the Cumberland and Tennessee River systems. At Kentucky Lock in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, and Chickamauga Lock in Chattanooga, Tennessee, ongoing mega construction projects to build larger new locks pose additional hazards for these vigilant protectors of people and resources.

    Officials dedicate North Murfreesboro Greenway extension

    MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Feb. 2, 2023) – Officials dedicated two additional miles of paved pedestrian trails along the North Murfreesboro Greenway Jan. 31, bringing the total to five miles of greenway space constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District for public recreation in the community.

    Boaters encouraged to visit Corps of Engineers booth at Nashville Boat Show

    Family navigates employment enjoyment with Corps of Engineers

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 14, 2022) – There are more than 700 employees that support missions at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District. Some of them work alongside family members or are following in the footsteps of their parents because they get job satisfaction from supporting projects that are meaningful and important to the region and nation.
