    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has issued Regional General Permit 24-RGP-01 for a period of five five years, to authorize existing floating cabins (defined at 18 CFR § 1304.412, and means a floating cabin that was located or moored on the Tennessee River System as of December 16, 2016) and associated maintenance for which the Applicant has obtained a valid Section 26a permit in certain Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Reservoirs within the states of Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia.

    This notice announces the nine-month testing and comment period for the Louisville District Corps of Engineers Stream Resiliency and Sustainability Review (SRSR) Tools. The purpose of the SRSR Tools is to streamline the review of stream compensatory mitigation projects. Projects proposed for authorization in accordance with Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) that require compensatory mitigation, in accordance with the April 10, 2008 “Compensatory Mitigation for Losses of Aquatic Resources” (“Mitigation Rule”)(CFR Vol. 73 No. 70, p 19670-19705 (33 U.S.C. 401 et seq.; 33 U.S.C. 1344; and Pub. L. 108-136), are covered by this announcement. This announcement applies to the Louisville District’s Regulatory Area of Operation within Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.

This RGP is effective and available for use within the entire State of West Virginia by the WVCA to authorize WVCA-sponsored projects that require the discharge of dredged and/or fill material into waters of the United States and/or work within navigable waters of the United States to alleviate hazards to life and property resulting from sudden watershed impairments.
