The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in exempted or excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

  • Construction Resumes on Critical Repairs for Oswego Breakwater

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and its contractor, Michigan-based Great Lakes Dock & Materials LLC have resumed construction of repairs to the Oswego West Arrowhead Breakwater. Repairs to the West Arrowhead Breakwater ensure Oswego Harbor’s viability and contributions to the local and national economy and protect the future of some of the area’s best waterfront historical, educational, and recreation opportunities.

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Awards Contract for Critical Repairs to Oswego Harbor Breakwater

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Buffalo District awarded a $4.75 million contract to Michigan-based Dean Marine Excavating on June 2, for repairs to the Oswego Harbor west arrowhead breakwater and the foundation of the Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse in Oswego, N.Y.
