Members of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District deliver toys donated by fellow employees to the Senator John Heinz History Center for the Batch A Toys program in Pittsburgh, Dec. 16, 2021. This is the second year the Pittsburgh District participated in a holiday donation effort, making multiple trips to the Heinz Center as they received more gifts leading up to Christmas. "Any time I can support a local organization that has such an impact on the lives of children I will not hesitate. The effort I made buying a few toys and delivering them is small. Knowing that a few kids will have a better holiday season is giant. I believe acts of kindness multiply and spreading joy is something that has lasting effects," said Ivan Russell, administrative assistant for the strategic integrations office for the Pittsburgh District.
