The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Huntington District hosted a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Friday August 25, 2023 to celebrate the completion of a project to renovate the Bradshaw Town Hall in Bradshaw, WV.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Huntington District hosted a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Friday August 25, 2023 to celebrate the completion of a project to renovate the Bradshaw Town Hall in Bradshaw, WV.

In April 1977, flooding in this region caused extensive damage. Due to this, Congress authorized the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to design and construct flood control measures to prevent future flood damages in these and similarly situated communities. This program became known as the Section 202 Nonstructural Flood Risk Management Program.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers worked diligently with the Town of Bradshaw and the McDowell County Commission to complete the Bradshaw Town Hall.
