Army Corps of Engineers modifying operations at recreation areas due to Coronavirus
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced today that it has begun the orderly shutdown of all USACE-managed campgrounds to protect against the further spread of coronavirus disease 2019. Visitor centers, beaches, special events, and USACE-sponsored events such as shore sweeps, interpretive programs, Kids to Parks Day, Earth Day events, public meetings and other public gatherings at all USACE-managed sites and facilities have also been closed and/or put on hold until further notice.

NR 18-029: Shutes Branch Mountain Bike Trail partially closed for repairs
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 30, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Shutes Branch Mountain Bike Trail at Old Hickory Lake in Old Hickory, Tenn., is partially closing Oct. 30, 2018 while crews install a septic system for the National Weather Office located in the area. The work is expected to be completed by early January 2019.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District awarded a contract to Tidewater Inc. of Elkridge, MD, September 28, 2018, to restore and create coastal wetland habitat along the Lake Erie shoreline in the City of Port Clinton, Ohio.
