    Brig. Gen. Mark C. Quander has taken command of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) during a ceremony in Cincinnati, Ohio.
  • Nashville District accepting lease applications for proposed new marina at Old Hickory Lake

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 24, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is soliciting proposals for development and operation of a new commercial concession marina at Old Hickory Lake.
  • Corps drives new traffic plan for Anderson Road Day Use Area

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 20, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is implementing a new traffic plan beginning this Memorial Day for the Anderson Road Day Use Area at J. Percy Priest Lake. The park staff plans to use an electric gate and roundabout to manage traffic flow at the intersection of Anderson Road and Couchville Pike.
  • Corps of Engineers begins Wilson County watershed study

    LEBANON, Tenn. (April 12, 2023) – A planning team with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District met with Wilson County officials this morning to begin moving forward with a watershed study focused on several local creeks.
  • Experience stone sharpening at historic Mill Springs Mill

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 6, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is opening Historic Mill Springs Mill May 6-7, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (EDT) each day on the shoreline of Lake Cumberland. The public is invited to learn, participate, and experience stone sharpening activities as Miller John Childers hones the grist stones used throughout the recreation season to grind corn into cornmeal.
  • Pleasant Grove closing for parking lot paving

    CELINA, Tenn. (March 30, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Pleasant Grove Recreation Area at Dale Hollow Lake in Celina, Tennessee, is closing to all recreational use beginning on or around April 6, 2023, to repair, pave and stripe the parking lot. The anticipated closure should last through April 20, 2023. This timeframe may adjust based on weather.
  • Old Hickory Lake clearing storm debris as campgrounds reopen

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 30, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is working to remove storm debris from Cages Bend Campground in Gallatin, Tennessee, and Cedar Creek Campground in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, on the shoreline of Old Hickory Lake. Both campgrounds open Saturday, April 1, as scheduled.
  • Construction project will impact Waitsboro Recreation Area

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 2, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is set to replace the existing water distribution system, service lines, and supply lines at Waitsboro Recreation Area in Somerset, Kentucky.
