  • Corps announces Notice of Availability for leasing/developing land at Woodcock Lake Park

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District announced a Notice of Availability (NOA) for Woodcock Lake Park, the leasing is available for viewing on Woodcock Creek Lake’s website at https://www.lrp.usace.army.mil/Missions/Recreation/Lakes/Woodcock-Creek-Lake/Woodcock-Creek-Lake-Leasing-Development-Opportunity/.
  • Woodcock Creek Lake to Host 50th Anniversary Celebration

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District will host a semicentennial celebration commemorating the completed construction of Woodcock Creek Dam, July 14.
  • Army Corps to collect Christmas trees at Woodcock Creek Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District will begin accepting live evergreen Christmas trees at Woodcock Creek Lake, which will be used for aquatic habitat improvement projects, beginning Dec. 27. Visitors may drop off live Christmas trees until Jan. 17, 2023, to the Woodcock Creek Lake overlook amenity, located directly across from Siverling Road. Signs will be in place to help guide tree drop-offs.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that it will waive day-use fees typically charged at boat launch ramps and swimming beaches at its recreation areas nationwide in recognition of National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on Saturday, Sept. 24.
  • Mosquito Creek Lake seeks public input on master plan revisions

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District seeks community feedback regarding proposed changes to the Mosquito Creek Lake Master Plan and will host a 30-day public comment period from May 16 to June 15. The master plan update is modeled on previously collected-community feedback. It will affect the future management of the recreational activities and natural resource use at Mosquito Creek Lake for the next 25 years.
  • Corps recreation sites host Earth Day celebration events

    In recognition of Earth Day, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District will host events at several reservoirs across its multistate region. We invite the public to join us as we clean up the environment, plant trees and restore local ecosystems to support the earth for years to come.
