The Motor Vessel Tampa out of Ashland, Kentucky, is moored just upstream of Cheatham Lock with Marathon Petroleum Company fuel barges May 21, 2021. The barges were about to depart for terminals in Nashville. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District worked with the fuel industry and Regional Rivers Repair Fleet, which is performing maintenance at the lock, to schedule openings to accommodate deliveries of fuel to Middle Tennessee.
