DETROIT – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, Regulatory Office and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality announce “Permits and Processes: Working in Michigan Waters," an in-depth look at both the Corps and MDEQ regulatory programs.
This symposium is designed to enhance the knowledge of contractors, consultants, municipalities and others who apply for permits on a professional basis and will discuss permit application and information requirements and the decision making processes. Throughout the day, focus will be on a hypothetical major development project to highlight the various aspects of the Corps and MDEQ permit application and evaluation processes.

The Complete Permit Application: A guide to the specific information needed for a complete permit application package, focusing on common errors and omissions.

MiWaters: A tutorial of MDEQ’s online system for submitting and accessing permit applications and information.

Permit Coordination and Evaluation: Corps and MDEQ permit categories, endangered species and historic properties review, permit decision criteria, and enforcement programs.
