Ongoing USACE improvements to Keweenaw Waterway Breakwater continue through summer

The closed Keweenaw Waterway Upper Entrance, seen here on July 7, 2026, will remain closed through Oct. 1, while the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District continues improvements to the breakwater.
