New Lock at the Soo Construction Worksite (Sept 2025)

The New Lock at the Soo contractor, Kokosing Alberici Traylor, LLC (KAT) of Westerville, Ohio, completed Sabin Lock demolition, continued bedrock excavation, and made significant progress on the lock wall monoliths in the 2025 construction season. Construction of the New Lock at the Soo continues to be on track for a 2030 completion in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
