Division commander’s visit highlights people, partnerships in mission delivery

LANCASTER, Tenn. (Feb. 19, 2026) – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers subject matter experts and leaders, along with a contractor from American Bridge Company, show Col. Herlihy, commander of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, a close-up view of the spillway gates from inside the Pier 1 access hatch at Center Hill Dam in Lancaster, Tennessee, Feb. 19, 2026. The tour provided Herlihy with a detailed, firsthand perspective on the ongoing spillway gate replacement project. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is replacing spillway gates at Wolf Creek Dam in Jamestown, Kentucky, and Center Hill Dam in Lancaster, Tennessee, to upgrade its flood risk and water management infrastructure in the Cumberland River Basin.
