From White Elephant to City: USACE makes strides towards physical remediation of the Shallow Land Disposal Area in Parks Township, PA
The original building, nicknamed the "white elephant," is shown in the upper right. It is now part of a larger group, each of which is a necessary part of the remediation process. From removal from the trenches to exiting from the site, the highly trained workers involved in the remediation process all have specialized qualifications to ensure the safety of workers and the community.
