Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle
Keith Millstine, a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District dive program, operates a VideoRay PRO 5, an underwater remote operated vehicle (ROV), using a controller during a three-day training event at a lock and dam facility on the Allegheny River in Natrona, Pennsylvania, Sept. 22, 2021. This ROV model is new to the Pittsburgh District, equipped with a high-definition video and photo camera, a multibeam sonar, a claw that can rotate and grab objects, and thrusters that are twice as powerful as the previous version to pilot through stronger currents.
