Pittsburgh District Toy Drop
Adam Starks, Maj. Daniel Tabacchi, Elaine Lisk, Ivan Russell, Marion Divers and Gary Hutsler, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District, deliver toys to the Senator John Heinz History Center as part of the annual Castle Co-Op Toy Drive, Dec. 20, 2022. The toys were donated by the district's staff and leadership. The Castle Co-Op is a peer-led organization that promotes employee engagement, social events, and community outreach on behalf of the Pittsburgh District to promote a positive work environment. The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in exempted or excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
