Pittsburgh District joins Duquesne University to form a stunning partnership
Brindled madtoms, a state-threatened catfish species that had not been seen in Crooked Creek Lake’s watershed for nearly a century, were found during electrofishing surveys conducted in 2021. Overall, surveyors involved with the two organizations identified almost 2,500 fish, revealing 41 species of fish within Crooked Creek Lake’s watershed. (U.S. Army Photo by Dr. Brady Porter).
