Lake Winnebago Spring Refill Meeting
On April 15, 2021, USACE and its partners hosted a Lake Winnebago Spring Refill Meeting in Menasha, Wisconsin. The team briefed current conditions, and discussed the impacts of the current management strategy for filling, lowering, and maintaining the lake water levels. In attendance were 45 members of the public that included recreational boaters, fishing enthusiasts, and agriculture, environmental, and hydropower interests. “We had a very informative and passionate discussion about balancing the Corps of Engineers' flood risk management mission with those many other interests in the watershed,” William Mazzeno, chief, Operations and Regulatory Division, said. #

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in exempted or excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
