Division commander visits Ft. Knox
Division Commander Maj. Gen. Robert F. Whittle Jr. visits Louisville District military project at Ft.Knox, Ky. Fort Knox is an installation constructed for the purpose of training soldiers within its armory school and as a region its use pre-dates the civil war. The base is home to the U.S. bullion depository and is the 7th largest urban community within the commonwealth of Kentucky.

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in exempted or excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
