    Bobby Bartlett lauded for half century of stewardship at Dale Hollow Lake

    CELINA, Tenn. (Dec. 12, 2024) – Park Ranger Bobby Bartlett attended both the 50th and 75th anniversaries of Dale Hollow Dam and has been a steward of Dale Hollow Lake for half a century. He is somewhat of a legend in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers circles and in local communities for his water safety and public outreach work and as a caretaker of the lake and its recreation areas.

    Thirty years ago, Dale Hollow Lake was celebrating 50th anniversary, along with the founding of Friends of Dale Hollow Lake. In the past 30 years, the Friends of Dale Hollow Lake has provided countless hours of service to raise funds, assist in clean-ups and events, and participate in enhancement projects in partnership with the Corps of Engineers.

    CELINA, Tenn. (June 30, 2023) – More than 500 kids recently participated in the annual Kids Fishing Rodeo at the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery, an event aimed at encouraging children to fish and learn about natural resource stewardship.

    Reel In and Recycle at Dale Hollow Lake

    CELINA, Tenn. (May 24, 2023) -The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Dale Hollow Lake has implemented a fishing line recycling program called The Reel In and Recycle Program. The program provides proper fishing line disposal locations for anglers on Dale Hollow Lake. Receptacles are placed near the launch ramps at Pleasant Grove, Lillydale, Willow Grove, and Obey River parks.
