Dale Hollow Dam Road closing for preventative maintenance

CELINA, Tenn. (June 5, 2024) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Dale Hollow Dam Road is closing to all traffic across the dam 8 a.m. Monday, June 17 for an extended amount of time for preventative maintenance on and around the roadway. The end date is yet to be determined. Dates are subject to change based on contractor schedule.

Corps of Engineers begins dredging operations in Saugatuck

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, will begin dredging 68,000 cubic yards of sediment from Saugatuck Harbor, Michigan, next week to ensure safe navigation between Lake Michigan and the Kalamazoo River. The two-mile federal channel in Saugatuck is a popular recreational destination and harbor of refuge. The King Company, of Holland, is contracted to complete the work for $341,000, after completing dredging in Muskegon under the same awarded contract totaling $1.4 million.

Corps Of Engineers Continues Duluth Vessel Yard Pier Repairs

DULUTH, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will continue repairing its Duluth southern Vessel Yard Pier with Phase 2 beginning in July. Repairs this year are estimated to end around November and resume Spring 2025 with completion in the Spring of 2026. The repairs will take place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
