USACE funds high water plaque to honor flood-devastated Kentucky community
Plaques identifying former students and faculty are shown at the former site of Rosenwald High School, in Harlan, Ky. on Aug. 23, 2024. The high school was destroyed by a devastating flood in 1977, after which the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers worked with the City of Harlan to construct a floodwall to help protect against future flooding.
