The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, has prepared Draft environmental documents for the Town of Boone Ecosystem Restoration - Habitat Restoration Project in Watauga County, North Carolina. The project would restore approximately 1,200 linear feet of Boone Creek by removing an existing culvert and parking lot, daylighting the stream, and creating wetlands and riparian habitat on the Appalachian State University campus.

Public comments must be received by March 20, 2026.
