  • USACE awards Brandon Road Interbasin Project design services

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) to obtain critical design, engineering, and analytical services to advance the Brandon Road Interbasin Project (BRIP). Black & Veatch-Stantec BRIP JV, of Overland Park, Kansas, was awarded the contract on April 23, for architect-engineer services to support the project.
  • USACE awards second contract for Brandon Road Interbasin Project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) awarded the second contract for the Brandon Road Interbasin Project on April 11. The $113.8 million contract will complete the remainder of the project’s Increment I. The Brandon Road Interbasin Project is a complex ecosystem restoration project with innovative technological deterrents, designed to prevent invasive carp and other aquatic nuisance species from moving upstream into the Great Lakes while minimizing impacts to Illinois Waterway users. The project will be largely implemented within the downstream approach channel to the Brandon Road Lock & Dam in Joliet, Ill.
  • Public meetings set for Invasive Carp Pilot Program

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 13, 2024) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District invites the public to participate in one of several public meetings that are planned to discuss the Invasive Carp Management Plan, draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment, and unsigned Finding of No Significant Impact, which are under review to manage and prevent the spread of invasive carp populations in the Tennessee and Cumberland River basins and Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway.
