USACE announces temporary closure of public access to McAlpine Locks and Dam Training Center and overlook area

Due to increased force protection conditions, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is temporarily closing all public access to the McAlpine Locks and Dam Training Center and Shippingport Island, effective immediately.

This action is a necessary precaution to ensure the safety and security of the public and the critical infrastructure of the McAlpine Locks and Dam.
