USACE Louisville, Nashville districts to co-host Regulatory Program Workshop

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District and Nashville District will co-host a free Regulatory Transformation Workshop on Tuesday, Jan 13 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (EDT) at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel, located at 500 S 4th St., Louisville, KY 40202. All partners, stakeholders and the public are invited to attend to learn more about the USACE Regulatory Program, including recent initiatives to improve the timeliness of permit decisions while ensuring the protection of important aquatic resources and navigation.

The event will feature presentations by USACE regulatory experts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network, learn about recent updates, and gain insights into USACE’s regulatory processes

USACE is dedicated to providing strong protection of the Nation’s aquatic environment and navigation capacity, while allowing reasonable development through fair and balanced decisions. Pursuant to its authority under Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, the USACE Regulatory Division evaluates permit applications and performs compliance and enforcement for construction activities in “waters of the United States”.
