  • Upper Ohio Navigation Project: Open Water Placement of Dredged Material

    The proposed action (Open Water Placement of Dredged Material) stems from the overall Upper Ohio Navigation (UON) Project which addresses lock condition and capacity issues at the Emsworth, Dashields, and Montgomery (EDM) Locks and Dams (L/Ds) on the Ohio River in Pennsylvania. Montgomery L/D was selected to be the first of the EDM L/D facilities to be authorized and funded for construction activities to complete the UON project. Out of three EDM L/Ds, Montgomery L/D is the most deteriorated and is in the most critical state.
