Draft Environmental Assessment, Burnsville Water Control Plan Update

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Huntington District is updating the Burnsville Lake Water Control Manual (WCM) and its Water Control Plan (WCP) with the following actions. (1) A modification for the 15 April to 01 December seasonal maximum outflow stage from 7.5 feet to 8.0 feet. This would result in identical maximum outflow stages during the summer and winter seasons. (2) The elimination of the augmentation requirement to provide 15% of the deficit between 330 cubic feet per second (cfs) and total local flow at the town of Elizabeth, WV. These two changes would reflect the current operations at Burnsville Lake.
