Saving Lives is Fun at Burnsville Lake!
On Friday, July 28th Burnsville Lake, US Army Corps of Engineers and Bobber the Water Safety hosted a Water Safety Event that was fun and educational for all ages!
This very successful event could not have been made possible without the help of some of our Amazing Volunteers, Burnsville Public Library and WVABCA DUI Simulator!
There were 13 educational station that participants got to experience: DUI Simulator, Facepainting, 3 STEM activities, Drunk Google Obstacle Course (Think Before You Drink, Alchol and Water Don’t Mix), Water Safety Drowning Awareness Relay, Water Safety Tattoos, Water Safety StoryBook Creation, Win a Prize - Water Safety, Mermaid Photo Booth, Water Tic Tack Toe and Water Rescue.
We would like to thank everyone that came out and participated in this amazing event!
Also, a very special that you to Stan and Hazel Dragovich from Parsons, WV - they handed out Free Bicycle lights to kids of all ages. They said if they can save at least one life, then their time is well worth it!
