    CELINA, Tenn. (March 30, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Pleasant Grove Recreation Area at Dale Hollow Lake in Celina, Tennessee, is closing to all recreational use beginning on or around April 6, 2023, to repair, pave and stripe the parking lot. The anticipated closure should last through April 20, 2023. This timeframe may adjust based on weather.

  • Corps of Engineers revises Enbridge Line 5 EIS schedule to ensure thorough analysis

    DETROIT – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, revises schedule following public scoping for Enbridge Line 5 Tunnel permit application review. Enbridge Energy seeks authorization to cross the Straits of Mackinac and impact adjacent wetlands for construction of the Line 5 Tunnel. The Detroit District, responsible for evaluating the permit application, received more than 17,000 public comments during the NEPA scoping period which ended on October 14, 2022. A scoping report summarizing the comments received, by topic, is available at: https://www.Line5TunnelEIS.com/public-notices/. “We greatly appreciate the meaningful input received throughout scoping and will use this information to shape studies and continuing consultations throughout development of our draft environmental impact statement” said Detroit District Commander Lt.     The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Pittsburgh District announces an increase in operational activity at the Shallow Land Disposal Area (SLDA) in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. During the next few months, residents near the SLDA site will see increased site workers, equipment, signage and maintenance. In addition, site workers will perform infrastructure maintenance such as repairing fencing and drainage ways, clearing trees and brush from between the fences, and removing aged solar panels.
