  • Blasting suspended at Louisville VA Medical Center construction site in interest of public safety

    In the interest of public safety, blasting on the site of the Louisville VA Medical Center has been suspended indefinitely following an unforeseen incident at the construction site today. During the blasting as part of earthwork on the site, fragments of sediment and rock landed on I-264, “Watterson Expressway,” and onto adjacent properties causing damage. There were no injuries reported and local law enforcement responded.
  • NR 22-19: Camp Attrahunt Boat Ramp closing for Poker Run

    SOMERSET, Ky. (Aug. 30, 2022) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that Camp Attrahunt Boat Ramp, including its parking lot on the shoreline of Lake Cumberland in Monticello, Kentucky, is closing Thursday, Sept. 8, through Sunday, Sept. 11, during the Lake Cumberland Poker Run.
  • Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center closes for public safety

    DETROIT- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, announces the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center in Duluth, Minnesota will be closed until further notice. The visitor center can still be reached at 218-788-6430.
