  • Pittsburgh District welcomes new commander

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District will transfer leadership during a Change of Command ceremony Friday, Aug. 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Senator John Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh. Colonel Adam Czekanski, commander of the Pittsburgh District since July 2021, will transfer command to Colonel Nicholas Melin during a traditional military ceremony. Major General William Graham, Deputy Commanding General for Civil Works and Emergency Operations, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters, will preside over the ceremony.
  • Pittsburgh District and city of Clarksburg partner for $3 million project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District entered a partnership agreement with the city of Clarksburg, West Virginia, to extend the city’s sanitary-sewer services to the Arlington, Dawmont, Glen Falls and Gore communities as part of a $3 million Section 219 Environmental Infrastructure project, April 26.
  • Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Acts provides more than $881.9 million in supplemental funding

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District released its Fiscal Year 2022 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) supplemental funding for Construction, Continuing Authorities Program, Environmental Infrastructure, and Operations and Maintenance, Jan. 20.
