DETROIT – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, awards a contract for maintenance dredging of the Channels of Lake St. Clair.
The $813,650 contract was awarded to Ryba Marine Construction Company of Cheboygan, Michigan.
Ryba will dredge approximately 53,000 cubic yards of sand, silt and organic material from the channel. The material will be placed at the Dickinson Island Confined Disposal Facility.
The contract was awarded Invitation for Bid, IFB, Small Business.
The maintenance dredging is expected to begin next summer and wrap up September 2019.
