Public affairs specialists from across the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division came to the Huntington District to increase their video skills during the division’s second regional visual storytelling workshop. During the workshop, participants gained experience in video camera operation, shot-listing, story planning, video editing, sound design, camera movements and more. The workshop gave participants the opportunity to learn from each other and elevate one-another’s video and public affairs skills. The training included one virtual day of training, followed by a week of hands-on story and video production training guided by a mentor from the Pittsburgh District. The Huntington District hosted the workshop and developed story opportunities for the participants to cover during their training. The division’s public affairs office plans to continue the workshop annually by hosting the training at a new district each year.
