The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District announces final regional conditions for the 2026 Nationwide Permits in New York State, effective March 15, 2026. The regional conditions, approved by the North Atlantic Division and Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, provide environmental protection for high-value waters and ensure compliance with state water quality certifications and Coastal Zone Management Act consistency requirements. These conditions apply to activities authorized under the reissued Nationwide Permits published in the Federal Register on January 8, 2026.

Reissuance of Nationwide Permits (NWPs) for New York - Effective March 15, 2026

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces the reissuance of 56 existing Nationwide Permits (NWPs) and one new NWP, effective March 15, 2026 through March 15, 2031.
