<title>Lake Barkley Shoreline Management Plan (SMP) Review</title>
      <link>https://usace.contentdm.oclc.org/utils/getfile/collection/p16021coll7/id/27349</link>
<description>The Lake Barkley Shoreline Management Plan (SMP) Review plan contains policies and guidelines for the effective long-range management of the shoreline resources on Lake Barkley. The primary objective of the SMP is to balance private shoreline uses, such as private boat docks, with the protection and conservation of Lake Barkley’s natural resources. In order to address ever changing public use demands affecting these natural resources, the SMP is reviewed every five years and updated if necessary.

During this review process, public workshops will be held to seek the input from users of Lake Barkley. The workshops will begin at 6 p.m. on each of the following dates:

•	March 25 at Lee S. Jones Park (Lyon Convention Center) in Eddyville, Kentucky
•	March 27 at Lake Barkley State Resort Park (Sunrise Room) in Cadiz, Kentucky
•	April 1 at the Stewart County Visitor Center in Dover, Tennessee

Written comments will also be accepted for 30 days following the public workshops. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Biologist Wes Davenport at (270) 362-4236 or at LakeBarkley@usace.army.mil.
