Turn left on Highway 101, turn left towards Overlook and Bonwell Hill, turn left towards Overlook, turn left on road just before Overlook Recreation Area towards Office/Visitor Center. We usually have Indiana recreation guides, festival guides, fishing guides, hunting guides, boat laws, rules and regulations, Corps of Engineers brochures and guides, maps and brochures of Brookville Lake, hiking & multi-use trail maps of Brookville Lake, and lots of free Water Safety goodies, some neat displays, and much more.

Stilling Basin---a site to see and a good place to fish
Make sure you abide by Indiana’s Fishing laws and do not swim or get in the water near the concrete

Head right on Hwy. 101 and right at first parking lot area to enjoy the Tailwater Fishermen’s Access Area.

Visitor Center Trail to hike over to the Office/Visitor Center

This is the tallest Dam in the state of Indiana. Park in the parking lot and walk or ride your bicycle across the Dam and you will see fascinating views over the Lake on one side with views of the town of Brookville on the other. A hike across and back is 1.1 mile. Shoreline fishing is permitted. Hike across the Dam to access the west side entrance to Adena Trace Hiking Trail segment: Wolf Creek. The east side of the Dam is where the entrance is located for the Adena Trace Hiking Trail segment: Bonwell.
