Maj. Bonny Bradway was appointed Deputy District Commander of the Nashville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), on July 15, 2026. In this role, Bradway oversees water resource management throughout the Cumberland River Basin and manages navigational and regulatory efforts in the Tennessee River Basin. This area of responsibility extends over 59,000 square miles, including 49 field offices across seven states, and involves managing a workforce of more than 750 federal employees.
Maj. Bradway received her commission in 2014 from the United States Military Academy and was later assigned to the 39th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, from 2015 to 2017, where she served as a platoon leader and executive officer. While stationed at Fort Campbell, she deployed to northern Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. She later served as a project engineer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Alaska District from 2017 to 2018, focusing on strategic military construction investments. She also deployed to the South Atlantic Division Headquarters in support of Hurricane Irma and Maria emergency response efforts during her tenure with the Alaska District. Maj. Bradway was then assigned to the 25th Infantry Division from 2019 to 2022, serving as an engineer planner, assistant battalion operations officer, and commander of Company A, 65th Brigade Engineer Battalion. She most recently served in Washington, D.C., and at the Pentagon from 2022 to 2026 as a fellow in the office of U.S. Rep. Steve Womack, R-Ark., as an Army congressional budget liaison within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management & Comptroller), and as the legislative assistant to the Secretary of the Army.
Maj. Bradway’s military education includes the Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course, Engineer Captains Career Course, Joint Engineer Operations Course, Jungle Operations Training Course, and Air Assault School. She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from the United States Military Academy, a master's degree in environmental engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a master's degree in legislative affairs from George Washington University.
Maj. Bradway’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Staff Identification Badge, and the Air Assault badge.
Bradway is married to Army veteran and West Point classmate Ryan Healy.
