As Regional Aquisition Manager, I serve as the principal acquisition and contracting advisor and consultant to the Division Commander, seven District Commanders and senior staff within the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division and am responsible for overall planning, direction, and review of contracting activities and the total acquisition process. I manage and direct the formulation of long-range plans, policies, and procedures to accomplish acquisition objectives and provide technical advice and assistance to subordinate District staff and provide for the development of policies and procedures designed to implement command program objectives. I perform quality assurance reviews of the Districts through field visits and reviews of program operations and working conditions. I serve as Division Staff Special Competition Advocate responsible for implementing and ensuring division-wide compliance with the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA). I represent the Division commander as requested and serve as the Career Program Manager for the Division.
