The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Great Lakes and Ohio River Division employs about 5,000 people in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York. Virtually all of the employees are U.S. Army civilians, not enlisted in the army. Working in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division is an exciting experience full of opportunities for engineers, architects, planners, economists, biologists, and a wide variety of professional staff as well as administrative, technical, and skilled trades.
We are involved in activities that deliver world-class, environmentally sustainable engineering facilities and services. We act as design and construction agent for the Department of Defense, manage federal water resources, conduct environmental restoration and remediation and execute emergency response and disaster relief.
